Stone Washed Cotton Appliqué Short Kimono
This kimono is a combination of handcrafted techniques and is entirely made of Indian cotton. The basic technique that creates the pattern is the applique or an ornamental embroidery in which pieces of fabric of different shapes and patterns are sewn onto a larger piece, in this case cotton on cotton, to form an image or pattern, the horizontal seams are reminiscent of kantha, while the aged effect is obtained by passing the fabric over abrasive stones that whiten the cotton, giving it a vintage and lived-in look. A unique and unisex piece, also suitable for cooler temperatures to be used as an alternative to an ordinary autumn jacket.
