This 100% handcrafted kimono is made with a very special Indian embroidery technique called Phulkari which is pronounced fukari, originating from the Punjab region, between India, Pakistan and Haryana.
Literally it means "floral work", but over time it was used to indicate the work of embroidery of shawls and scarves that Indian women traditionally use as headdresses for important events such as weddings.
All this work is made only with the use of silk threads embroidered on cotton and its peculiarity lies precisely in the technique, in fact the embroidery work starts from the center and spreads to the entire fabric, the thicker the embroidery the greater the quality and value of the finished product.
